Powerflushing

Some of the most common problems in heating systems such as boiler noise, pump failure and cold spots on radiators could be prevented with effective cleaning and treatment. Chemical treatment is well worth considering as a dirty heating system can potentially increase a fuel bill by up to 35% and lead to a poorly functioning system and higher Co2 emissions. The solution to this is to have your system powerflushed. The powerflushing machine is attached to the heating pipes and cleaning chemicals are added to break down the black sludge. Using vibration and reversing the flow will remove any stubborn deposits. Each radiator is cleaned in turn until they are free of any dirt. After the powerflushing is complete, a corrosion inhibitor is added to stop any further sludge build up in the future, and this should ideally be topped up annually. If you are changing your boiler, getting the system powerflushed should be a priority.

Wood/Multi-Fuel Stoves

Wood burning/multi-fuel stoves have become very popular and it is important to make sure yours is running safely! When installing these stoves, a special assessment of ventilation/flue requirements is required to ensure they function safely and efficiently. Our fully trained engineer will assess your needs and talk through your options.
